What is counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy; a healthy relationship is created between a counsellor and someone who decides to make changes in their life or enhance their own well being.
The Counsellor will BE there for YOU, and YOU have the freedom to choose the areas to be worked on. The exploring takes place in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential setting.
People choose therapy because they are experiencing difficulties or distress in their lives, some will choose it because they might feel isolated or anxious or depressed even when they have the most supportive family or friends around.
In Therapy we focus on self, on how we relate to others, how to find balance in life, spirituality and more.
Life issues could include: bereavement, divorce, redundancy, bullying.
Counselling needn't be sought only when someone is in crisis or on the verge of one.
In Counselling we become curious about ourselves and we grow; it feels illuminating!
